One of Courtyard's most important features is the largest 'live room' - using 600 of the studio one's 750 square feet of recording areas it was designed to be a comfortable environment and a great acoustic response for any musical source. A solo flute, a string quartet or a jazz orchestra... a drum kit, a big guitar sound or an intimate vocal performance with exceptional warmth and depth.
Combine the versatile sound of the room with the carefully selected choice of classic & valve microphones & outboard and you will quickly get outstanding results, usually needing only minimal and often no simulated reverb.
