Believe it or not there are several studios out there who have copied & pasted information from this site onto theirs. One of them even seems to think they're located where we are. Still, the first of these losers to indulge in copyright theft went out of business a while ago. So if you see anything that looks or sounds familiar please let us know.

* many sessions are now entirely digital and don't require the use of the analogue multitrack at all
Since sessions and projects (using analogue multitrack) vary hugely in their tape & mastering requirements the tape hire charge ** isn't usually necessary. For example, 2 days on one song may only use 3 minutes of tape but 4 hours on a 'live' band recording could use 2 reels of tape - we need to be aware of your possible requirements and give you as good a deal as possible. Courtyard Recording Studios costs quite a bit more per hour than it's possible to pay elsewhere - what you are paying for is the adaptability of the recording space and the experience of the engineer. Clients say they get value for money because the job gets done - quickly & efficiently. If you spend a grand on studio time you won't be charged extra for a few CDs but if you come for a couple of hours then you might! It is Courtyard's policy to discuss all charges prior to any booking being confirmed and ensuring the client is confident what they are spending and why.
