In addition to the main Live Room & the 3 isolation rooms on the first floor there are 2 ground floor tie-lined rooms which are ideal for big guitar stacks or Leslie cabs.
Studio 2 has a high ceiling with bass traps & a range of acoustic treatment which, by working with the position of speaker cabinets, makes it easier to get the right tone for the song before it gets to the mic-input-recording conversion chain.
Studio 3's recording area is a new feature - a wooden floor and bare plaster walls with a bright, splashy sound that is likely to become as much of a feature of Courtyard as the established Studio 1 Live Room is.
The majority of rock / pop recordings make use of the different recording spaces - bands can set up & play as normal and once a good drum take is secured on tape everything else can be repaired or replaced as required. The digital editing facilities means that even your drummer won't have to get the ideal take in one pass.
