Along one side of the live room are three isolated recording areas. These are not 'isolation booths' in the usual sense though - the largest is 150 square feet which is big enough to be used for drums, percussion, a brass section or maybe 3 or 4 backing singers when a band lays down a backing track together. The typical set-up is for the drums to be in the live room and the booths are used for guitar amps & vocals. Since each booth is 'tie-lined' it is not essential for the musicians to be in the booths with their amps - if they are, each room has a window to the live room, booth 1 has a window to booth 2 + booth 2 & booth 3 face the control room. Everyone has eye contact & is able to communicate visually as well as via headphones & monitors. The Big Booth also doubles up as a viewing/chill-out room with monitors & video link... you can be part of the overdubbing & mixing process and still be able to chat & have a laugh. Or you can get away from it, watch a DVD, play board games etc. but still be involved in what's going on with your project. 0161 477 6531 07830 165494 07830 165495 courtyard recording studios gorsey mount street waterloo road stockport cheshire SK1 3BULocated close to Stockport town centre; easy to get to from Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire & North Wales. specialised recording services specialised music services 24 track 32 track 48 track 64 track recording studio analogue & digital valve mics & outboard vintage guitar amps analogue & digital pro cd mastering large live room drumkits & backline guitars classic fx pedals digital & solid state guitar processing established 1988 spacious comfortable |
